Maddie Love

I am so in love with Maddie. She became a part of our family on December 7. With that, I inherited the name mommy. It's been a week and she is just so very precious. She sleeps, eats and poops on a regular basis. I love watching her lie down on Mario's chest. She's calm and full of peace. I still have to pinch myself to make sure this is real!!!! More to come on Maddie.

Gettin' pretty

I'm spending my usual Saturday afternoon at the enyianise beauty bar. It is such a treat to be able to count on this time to make myself pretty. M and I are looking forward to taking our annual holiday photo a little later today. We'll take about a hundred photos, then he will photo shop them and we will select THE ONE for this years' holiday card. I will post it later. I really want to be green about distributing this years' card, but just not sure how to do it.

Parenthood

While I'm not a parent just yet (except to our yorkie, Dylan), I've got baby on the brain these days. It seems like every baby that I see these days is simply gorgeous! In fact, I can't wait to see my nieces tomorrow for brunch. They are 1 and 2 months. Our nephew will be 10 this Wednesday. And we've got like 5 Godchildren that we adore. As far as kids for us, M and I are right in the middle of our adoption journey and we hope to call ourselves parents in the next 12 months. I think it's safe to say that we believe that we are called to adoption. I heard someone say this today, "every child is meant for a family". Well M and I believe that we are meant for a child. More about our journey in the future.
