Now I'm 40 and I am committing to this blog. Today we turned in the last stitch of paperwork for baby number 2. We are naming him Myles Ellis. SO EXCITED!!!!! Joy is in the air and we are busy making preparations. I just finished having an amazing birthday celebration with friends and family. Here's a little peek!

Post Father's Day 2013

The weather has been pretty nice. Nice enough to play outside and have some family fun. I must say, I am finally learning how important it is to spend time seeing the world around us as a family. About a week ago, Mario bought me a VERY nice camera and so I am working on my camera taking skills. I took joy in capturing some key moments from this past weekend. Enjoy!

Turning the corner

It has been an incredible season of rest yet building. Personally, I've been recovering from in-patient surgery and after 4 weeks, I am finally starting to feel like I am turning the corner. For that, I rejoice!

Our daughter is three and in the next two weeks will go through even more change. She will transition to a new three year IM's class and she will have her tonsils out (she's had strep throat over 10 times in 18 months. I am Confident that will go through this and come out on top.

Daddy started graduate school this week and I could NOT be more proud of him. It takes courage to go back to school period. But to do it at age 49 is not easy. I've deemed myself his official cheerleader
So far 2013 has a bright horizon for us all.
